- Help your job performance: It’s not being glued to your laptop or smartphone that makes you a more productive worker. It’s the time away from the office, recharging your batteries, which makes you that much stronger. You’ll feel more drive, energy, and renewed enthusiasm once you get back. Be more productive with less hours per week.
- Promote creativity: when you reconnect your mind, body and soul, the creative energy within is awoken. A peaceful, rested mind is a creative mind.
- Avoid burnout: people who take regular time away from their daily lives are far less likely to experience depression, burnout and breakdowns. Even from management’s point of view, this is beneficial. This avoids extended absences for medical reasons and makes these employees more productive than their overworked peers.
- Lose weight: that’s right, an active vacation such as a retreat —combined with responsible eating— can actually help shed some pounds and perhaps establish healthy habits for the long run. Just the amount of walking and better sleep you’ll get encourages weight loss.
